Spec-to-Crate Index

Chio's normative specifications live under spec/ in the Chio source, with three federation companions under docs/. Each row names a specification, the reference page that renders it, and the crate that implements it.

The crate is the primary implementer by responsibility, shown with its workspace path from the crate inventory at the documentation pin. Every crate path also has an entry in the Crate Map.

Protocol and kernel specifications

These define the protocol messages, their wire encoding, guard evaluation, configuration, the HTTP transport, and metering.

Integration specifications

These define how other protocols, OpenAPI services, and multi-step workflows reach the kernel.

Security and compliance specifications

Swarm specifications

The four CHIO_* specifications render under Swarm. Bilateral co-sign invocation describes jointly held authority. The governance ladder manifest is pinned at the handshake and travels with the peer record. Selective disclosure describes proofs over receipts, and the pheromone specification defines the wire format for signal deposits.
