Build a mission host
Run two scoped workers over one document, join their results by digest, and let a model answer through the same governed tools.
On this page
A mission host gives each worker one job and only the authority for it, then accepts the work only when the results agree. This application outlines a Markdown document and inventories its links with two delegated workers; model mode adds a worker that retrieves passages before it answers a question.
Run the missionTwo workers analyze your document and one join accepts their results
A mission on your document
Two delegated workers analyze a document. Join their results, inspect signed decisions, and give a model a bounded question.
Replace the release notes with your own document. Analysis mode updates the headings and links without a model key. In model mode, ask a question the document answers; the worker retrieves passages before it replies. Keep the refusal checks on to see a cross-tool request, an exhausted grant, a wider delegation, and a mismatched join refused.
The host keeps the issuer key and each worker holds one call
Switch lenses to follow one run three ways: the grants the host issues, the calls the kernel dispatches, and the receipts and digest that decide the join. Every worker reaches the document tools only through the kernel.
Each worker holds one call
The host keeps the issuer key and delegates the document tools: one outline call to the outline worker, one inventory call to the link worker, retrieval to the answer worker. A call outside a worker's scope is refused at the kernel, and so is a delegation wider than its parent. Delegation.
The host opens retained stores before it issues authority
The document parser is a registered tool server. Host initialization opens the retained admission and receipt stores, then fixes the kernel key, policy, and tools the application trusts. Read-only operations consume authority too, so a retrieval loop has a finite number of calls even though it never writes a file.

}Each worker receives exactly one call
The parent grant can invoke and delegate the document tools. The outline worker receives one outline call and the link worker one inventory call. The coordinator launches both governed requests together and keeps their receipts apart; the model never receives the issuer key.
let root = host.root("documents", &["outline", "link_inventory", "retrieve"], 12)?;

)?;In the verified run, events 04 and 06 record the two allowed calls, with receipts cf0ed041…1ad3d7 and f9bd2c08…55da28.
The join accepts results about one document version
Both handlers return the digest of the bytes they analyzed, and the coordinator checks those digests before it builds the joined report. The failure exercise swaps in a result about another document, and the join refuses it. The same check fits candidate revisions, source versions, and any work that can go stale.
fn validate_join(digest: &str, outline: &Value, links: &Value) -> anyhow::Result<()> {
anyhow::ensure!(
outline["input_sha256"] == digest && links["input_sha256"] == digest,
"Workers analyzed different document versions"
);
Ok(())
}Event 07 joins the outline and link results for one input digest. Event 08 refuses a result about another version and leaves the accepted report unchanged.
The model worker retrieves through its own capability
Model mode uses the supplied tool loop, which admits every proposed retrieval through the answer worker’s capability. The loop records model requests and tool responses, and stops at its turn, context, and response limits. Source passages stay evidence: text inside the document leaves the worker’s scope unchanged.

}A cross-tool call, a spent grant, and a wider delegation are refused
The sample input runs each refusal check. Run it without the browser and the retained run holds these events:

08 mission.join-refused coordinator

link_inventorywith the outline capability: the kernel refuses it and the handler counts stay unchanged. - Call outline a second time: the consumed invocation produces no second analysis.
- Change a returned input digest: the coordinator refuses the join before it accepts a report.
The downloadable tests assert each effect or its absence: run cargo test --locked -p chio-mission-host from the extracted project.
Run the mission host on your machine
Keep the run directory to connect the document digest, the worker results, and the original receipts.
cd chio-mission-host
./runThe archive holds the application, the shared host code, tests, sample input, pinned dependencies, and a README. The launcher builds and runs the Rust source included in this archive. Install Rust 1.94.1 and the README’s native prerequisites; filesystem isolation and operator workloads require the listed Linux host profile. Cargo resolves immutable public dependencies, so a sibling checkout is unnecessary.
For model workers, set OPENROUTER_API_KEY on the local host and select model mode; credentials stay on that host and never enter the docs form. The qualified model is openai/gpt-4.1-mini. Analysis, retrieval, and deterministic worker modes run without a model key. Ctrl-C stops the local web process and its active child work and keeps the run directory.

Add a third specialist in mission-host/src/tools.rs, register its tool, and delegate it a narrow grant in lib.rs. A link checker fits: give it its own network policy and retain each URL and observed response with its receipt. The inventory worker records links and fetches none of them.
