Codex

Build the Chio integration for Codex.

Before you start

Node.js 22.19+, npm and Git. The restricted launcher requires macOS and a compatible Chio kernel.

  1. Build from source

    Terminal · a new directory
    git clone https://github.com/backbay-labs/chio-codex-plugin.git
cd chio-codex-plugin
npm ci --ignore-scripts --no-audit --no-fund
npm run build

  2. Check the entry point

    Terminal · chio-codex-plugin
    node ./dist/cli/main.js --help
    Expected checkpoint

    The CLI prints its available commands.

    This checks the built launcher. Before running an agent, configure its kernel, tool inventory and model credentials in the operator guide.
